A PDO
For 2 personnes
  • 150g strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of Nyons olive oil
  • A few leaves of fresh basil
  • 1 tablespoon of lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon of brown sugar

Tip

Delicious, in-season strawberries, finely diced and marinated in a blend of Nyons olive oil (PDO) with a subtle flavour. Add a little basil to create a fresh and indulgent tartare – the ultimate seasonal dessert.

Instructions

  • Dice the strawberries into small cubes and set them aside whilst you prepare the recipe.

  • In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, sugar and lime juice, and chop the basil very finely.

  • Add the strawberries to the mixture and leave to marinate for 1 hour.

  • Pour the mixture into a stainless steel ring mould, making sure it is completely smooth.

  • Leave to set in the fridge for 2 to 4 hours, then turn out your mixture.

  • The tartare is ready!

We recommend...

For this recipe, choose a PDO huile d'olive de Nyons (subtle taste) for its notes of dried fruit and buttery flavour, possibly accompanied by hints of fresh hazelnuts and/or freshly cut grass.

Don’t have any? Then choose a PDO huile d'olive de Nice!
