PDO olive-growing area
Provence

In the heart of Provence, discover an exceptional olive-growing region, set amongst limestone hills, garrigue and Mediterranean light. From Sainte-Victoire to the Alpilles, from the Luberon to the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, olive trees have shaped the landscape for over 2,600 years. Here, the Aglandau, Salonenque, Bouteillan and Cayon varieties come together to produce an olive oil with a unique character. Harvested using the ‘olive tournante’ method, and cold-pressed within days of harvesting, the olives yield a fresh oil with aromas of fresh grass and raw artichoke, or, after ripening, a milder oil with notes of black olives, candied fruit and toasted bread. Provence Olive Oil PDO and Provence Olive Oil PDO ‘ripened olives’: two expressions of the same terroir, a treat for gourmets!
