Ingredients

For 6 personnes
For the marbled cake:
  • 1 pot of plain yoghurt
  • 3 tins of flour
  • 2 jars of caster sugar
  • 1/2 jar of Languedoc AOC olive oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 sachet of baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
For the filling:
  • 200 g of milk chocolate
  • 15 cl of crème fraîche
  • 1 tablespoon of Languedoc AOC olive oil
  • Smarties
  • 5 strawberries
  • 1 kiwi

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Pour the yoghurt into a mixing bowl. Wash and dry the pot – you’ll use it as a measuring container for the other ingredients.
  • Add the eggs, sugar and Languedoc AOC olive oil, then mix. Fold in the flour, baking powder and cocoa, sifted together, then mix. Pour the batter into a round cake tin, greased and floured. Place in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Leave to cool slightly, then turn out onto a wire rack. Leave to cool completely.
  • Heat the cream, pour it over the milk chocolate, leave to stand for 1 minute, then stir; add the olive oil and mix until you have a smooth ganache. Cover the cake with the ganache. Leave to cool.
  • Cut out the slice of cake that will form the fish’s tail. Decorate it with Smarties.
  • Peel the kiwi and wash the strawberries. Cut them into thin slices. Arrange them on the cake to form the fish’s scales. Add a sweet to make the eye.
