Tip
You can also buy black icing pens to create the spider legs on your Halloween biscuits! To complete your Halloween atmosphere, why not also make some Halloween walnut brownies and poached Halloween pears… A terrifying (but delicious…) afternoon treat awaits!
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- First, mix together the olive oil, butter, whole egg, sugar and vanilla sugar. Gradually add the flour, mixed with the baking powder and salt. Then stir in the chocolate chips (optional).
- Line a baking tray with baking paper. Then shape the dough into about ten balls and arrange them on the tray, leaving a little space between them. Gently flatten the balls with the palm of your hand before baking for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Then leave to cool on a wire rack before decorating.
- Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate in a bain-marie with a little mild-flavoured olive oil. Then cut the Lindt chocolate balls in half, and melt the chocolate half-spheres slightly so that they stick to the top of the biscuit. Next, use the melted dark chocolate to make spider legs.
- And finally, stick on the eyes with a bit of melted chocolate.
- And that’s it!
