Pear pound cake, with a subtle olive oil flavour

- 3 eggs
- 180g of sugar
- 1 lemon zest
- 100ml of mild-flavoured olive oil
- 100ml of milk
- 250g of flour
- 1 teaspoon of yeast
- 6 pears
Tip
Annelyse’s suggestion: using the same method as for this pear pound cake, I also make a pear and chocolate cake!
Instructions
- Whisk the sugar with the eggs and the zest. Add the oil and milk, and mix together. Sift the flour with the baking powder and fold into the mixture.
- Peel the pears, leaving them whole.
- Line a baking tin with baking paper, pour in the batter and arrange the pears on top, pressing them into the batter.
- Bake at 170°C for 35–40 minutes. Your pear pound cake is ready!
Tip
Annelyse’s suggestion: using the same method as for this pear pound cake, I also make a pear and chocolate cake!
